I started a thread about a problem with 28 reloads on the competetive shooting thread if anyone has experience with STS hulls.

For 28 gauge, I have had much better results using Winchester AAHS hulls. My experience with STS has been "cooked" crimp petals, "oil barrel" crushing in the middle, crimps that swirl and do not close completely. In all fairness, these hulls have been reloaded a few times. That being said however, I have reloaded original AA and newer AAHS hulls twice as many times as the STS.

These are being reloaded on a MEC single stage press where I can go as slow as necessary. Small gauges are tougher to reload than 12 or 20
