TC 20 ga rifled slug barrel?

Im looking in to a 20 ga to hunt deer with next year. Ive read that anything over 20 tube just slowes the slug or sabot down anyone with any experiance with this. Becouse im looking at a 28'' for my TC Pro Hunter. Thanks
