How do I find out about "local" crimes?

The newspaper here in St. Louis tends to play down crime. I'd _really_ like to be able to send notes to various folks every time an innocent victim is attacked, robbed, mugged, raped, killed, etc., at least until we're able to defend ourselves... Does anyone know an up to date source?

If that Link doesn't work, look up St Louis Metropolitan Police Safe City Map which should show you some form of crime related incidents relative to location within city/county.

DAMN, If I ever saw a reason for them to allow CCW its when I turned on the Crimes Against Persons and Crimes Against Property. I used to live O'Fallon and glad I got out of there!!!!
