I just bought one of these online. Anyone have any experience with one good, bad or indiferent?

They're good guns. Not 100% authentic, but still very nice compared to a lot of them. I used to have one, and I swapped out the few parts that didn't look right (trigger, hammer, and grips) with genuine GI parts to make it look right.

The WWII Repro I closely examined was a really well made .45. The regular commercial Colts are also first class in materials and workmanship. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Wildalaska, I did not hesitate. Thats why I started this thread I thought I got a pretty good deal but did not know much about the pistol. I have wanted a 70's series colt I guess I kinda got one.

The new production Colts are all nice! They have better triggers than K and S brand.

Hey Tech,

If you are gonna upgrade your new toy with one of those stylish new rounded hammers with it's mandatory upswet beavertail grip safety and want to part with that old fashioned long wide spur hammer, please let me know as I am looking for a couple of them.
:D

p.s. If anyone else has any old style Colt long widespur hammers for sale please message me.

B.B, if I upgrade this pistol I will send the hammer to you. I am not sure what I will do with it. I went through a manic period where all my pistols had to go to the smith for upgrades and such. I have now come full circle and might just leave it like it is. But as I said if I change out the hammer I will get your address and send you this one.
