Do any .22LR Conversion kits like the Marvel precision or Ciener work with the 9mm Springfield 1911A1 custom loaded models? I haven't been able to find anything conclusive from searches on both 1911forum or highroad.org, or from emailing the company.

I have no knowlege of the Marvel kit but the Ciener kit will not as it comes from the factory..It can be made to work rather easily though.. The problem is the ejector clearence in the slide,the 45 has a thinner ejector than the 9mm.. I am sure that a good gunsmith could fix this..It can be done with a file,working slowly and carefully.. Am sure that Ciener would not approve of this but it does work,and work well.. Another thought is to see if a 45 ejector would work in the 9mm..Will have to try one to see..
