Greetings! This photo is not mine, but I want something like it (minus the ammo loops on the sling) for MY Rossi dogear:

Can anyone point me in the direction to find such a thing? The photo was lifted from a dead sale link on another forum so thats of no help to me.

Thanks!

Cabelas has a few options like it, but check out this one from Wingworks:

http://www.wingworks.biz/Portals/0/SXSSlingGun.jpg

It's not too expensive, it looks awfully nice, and while it doesn't require swivels, it also doesn't require a loop all the way over the top of the barrel, so you can still see down the rib: http://www.wingworks.biz/Accessories/HuntingAccessories/tabid/78/Default.aspx

Scroll down.

I like the barrel clip, that was something I hadn't thought about.

Not sold on the butt stock attachment. If I can't find the cuff style, maybe I'd go that route and install a rear swivel.

Thanks for the lead!

Here's a butt cuff sling: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat602007-cat20819&id=0027338210183a&navCount=4&podId=0027338&parentId=cat20819&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=IA&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat601233&hasJS=true

Wingworks specializes in mountain bird hunting stuff. If they sell something, it's made for use in a challenging environment.

Personally, I'd be reluctant to put a cuff over my shotgun's butt, since my guns fit me. If you have a short one, and the stock is too skinny for you, it might make sense.

Thanks for that suggestion. That is exactly what I have been wanting for my adjustable LOP 870s when I take them afield; I just did not know it until you showed it to me. I was not willing to add sling swivels to two of the guns with gorgeous wood. Now I do not need to do so.

Fine guns deserve fine leather.

This is the guy you want to talk too: http://levergunleather.com/ They call him "Lever"

Here is what he did for me:

Hunter, if you don't mind, what did that rig set you back? It looks really nice!!

$120 if I remember correctly. There is a ton of detail in it. A plain jane one may cost half that.
