Im investing in a ML pro hunter barrel for my TC and looking into Sabots
and found out that a 429 bullet from a 44mag will work in a Sabot ML
I shoot alot of cast WC out of my 44mag's for hunting. I turn them into HP WC
with great results. So i was wondering if anyone has used them or do you stick with XTP's or another JHP. and what grn of bullet do you use I have them from 180grn to 300. Thanks.

I have a T/C Omega Z5. I have tried quite a few of the T/C brand sabots and for most shooting I like the "Mag Express" with the 240 gr. XTP bullet, which is to my understanding a 44 cal bullet that Hornady uses in personal protection handgun loads.
Of course the spire point bullets are more accurate for shooting over 100 yards, but are more expensive. Here in Ohio most of my shooting in deer season is 50 yards or less, so the added expense of these bullets is hardly worth it. With as little practice as I'm able to get these days, I manage 4" groups offhand @ 50 yards with the 240 gr. XTP sabots.
Hope this helps.
