The big evil Super Black Eagle just started to NOT fully cycle the bolt upon firing. It goes about 1/4 - 1/2" short and fails to load the second shell onto the elevator. I did a complete R&R on the trigger group and bolt. And it still does it. Does anyone have a suggestion on where I should look next ? It only has 1000 rounds through it and I have changed nothing with the loads. If I use a 3" super heavy load it cycles. But woth a standard 1 3/4" shell it does not cycle all the way.

Did you check the recoil spring assembly behind the bolt in the stock?

I checked it and it is clean and works smooth. I did not yet take it apart to clean it.

Got the recoil spring out and cleaned. It is no better. Heavy 3" factory loads cycle it 100%. Light field loads still being a bugger and not loading properly.

I have same problem and researched extensively, the recoil spring is worn out and needs replacing, it also shows these same problems the colder the temperatures are and when shooting up-as duck hunting, Wolff makes 2 different springs the following link is for 25% extra power http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productnumber=972981
this link is for 25% reduced power http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productnumber=575281, I have read were some have said that the extra power will still cycle light loads, maybe some here will share their experiences, I have tried to find the factory original spring with no luck, again maybe someone here knows where to find it-it must be available

Yep, still working on it. Nothing like having a $1200 single shot shotgun.
