I haven't had my hands on one yet, but from looking at the pictures available online I'd say it's based on the old High Standard Flite King as later produced by Mitchell, with double action bars instead of the single bar of the older HS design. That would mean it has more of its action design features akin to the Mossberg 500 (not the tang safety), though it looks to have preserved the tilting rear-lockup Win Model 12 style bolt design of the High Standard. If it did, and if it's properly executed with good materials, it ought to be the slickest brand new pumpgun on the market.
It isn't an 870 copy tho...
