I can find all kinds of info on 73 Win breakdown but non mention how or what screws to take out to remove stock.

If it runs true to form with a real Win 73, the big screw in the rear of the top tang goes through to the lower tang.
You should be able to see the end of it where it comes out flush under the lever.

Take out that screw and pull the stock straight back & off the tangs.

Thanks RC, the Uberti had a screw in the bottum tang also. The stock was real tight! I did not want to force it unless I was prety sure nothing else was holding it. With your answer I felt confident to force it. Came off OK.
