I have installed a red dot sight (reflex-hollographic-etc) on my 20 ga 870 Express Remington, using the B-SQUARE mount. It is ROCK SOLID, slips on with the screws provided, and will not shoot loose , even with heavy 3" Magnum Slug or shot loads.
Fit and function are perfect.

I used one on an Illinois deer hunt a few years ago on an 870. It worked, but not entirely without issue. Mine would shoot loose after several rounds of 12ga slugs. This only happened on the range, where I was shooting the most rounds in preparation for my hunt. You have to be careful to not overtighten the mounting screws, as it can cause binding of the action. Also barrel loosness can affect accuracy since the mount attaches to the reciever. If I had to hunt deer with a shotgun exclusively, I'd buy a cantilevered barrel. But for an ocasional hunt or just plinking around, they're ok.
