I am brand new 2 reloading/handloading and I just aquired some real nice gear but I'm haveing issues with the wad column. In my data it calls for differnt wads depending on the load but I can't find these and for the ones I have(wad columns) I can find no data for. So my question is do differents wad columns coorispond or interchange? Please break this down barny style for me please.

Which wads do you have?

I don't know of any way to do that.
Plastic wads have been made by so many different manufactures over the years it would take an encyclopedia to list what is the same as which.
In general though, the bags or boxes the wads come in list what they replace in a similar Winchester or Remington or Federal wad.
Without knowing what wads you have, there is no chance of telling you what they might correspond to in other brands of wads.

I have claybuster brand wt12-waa12, wtw12(windjammer),waa12sl, and waa12. I got all this stuff from a guy's(who's passed away) wife and he had all the primers shot powder and wad( and the presses) with highlighted loads in the data books but these wads I have are not in this book

You need to follow the recipe; period. Doesn't matter your experience level. There are a few substitutions mostly newer wads replacing older styles.
Some wad columns are fairly exotic-what this usually means is 'specific to a particular manufacturer'. For instance Precision Reloading does their own manual and stocks the ingredients, same with a place called Ballistic Products. Both have web sites, extensive online catalogs and are easy to deal with.
Working OTC components from a supplier like Sportsmans Warehouse (for instance) would require buying just about all the shotshell reloading manuals they offer and some extensive searching to match a load to the components you find.
List what you have already acquired and we can take a look through our references for loads you might use.

Here's Windjammer's site: Windjammer (http://windjammer-wads.com/Template.php?-p=Disclaimer)
Here's Claybuster's: Claybuster (http://www.claybusterwads.com/) You can see what wads they substitute for, and then be able to find something in your manuals.

Loads are typically listed, starting with the gauge, by shot weight, then hull--there will be one to several wad columns for each powder...
We need the hull, powder and shot weight to be effective.

Here's what you need.

If you cannot find a reference to what wads you have corresponding to what hulls you have in this manual, then none will exist. There's a few other sources for data, one is BPI @ this url;
http://www.ballisticproducts.com/
Their data manuals tend to only list wads they sell.

+1 on the Lyman 5th. When it's all said and done, you'll probably have a library of reloading books, might as well get started... we just got paid yesterday. ;)

From Hodgdon Site:
WAA Hull, WAA12 wad, 16 grs. 700X, Federal 209A primer for 1150 FPS 1 1/8 Oz lead.
The Federal 209A is considered the hottest primer out there, with the CCI 209M second, then Winchester 209 third. Rio primers are thought as to be magnum type so I would use the Federal 209A(hottest) as the guide for Rio(hot) primers.

thanks Jimmy, I'm guessing I should start at 10% less powder then called for on any load as I've read and been told this many times. Yes?

Also, is it possible 2 convert a shotshell reloader to reload handgun/rifle?

No & No.
Completely different press set-ups for shotgun & metallic reloading.
Do Not reduce shotgun loads 10% for a "starting load".
Follow the recipe for the hulls you have exactly.
Again, shotgun reloading is completely different then metallic reloading.

As rc said do NOT reduce 10% for shot shell data.
It is best to work with data that matches your components exactly, however sometimes you can substitute components. I made reference to the fact that Rio primers are magnum type and could be used with data that calls for the Fed. 209a and the CCI 209m.
Wads can be substituted by following the makers(say Windjammer) guide list.
Powder should not be substituted Period. Look for data for that powder.
Rio information is kinda limited so precede with caution. Shot shells are loaded at much lower pressure than metallic rounds, but shotguns are made to handle much lower pressure too.
