Got a Browning BL-22 I think years ago in payment for a loan. Pretty gun but it shoots about 18" high around 30 to 50 yds. Would have to put the front sitght in the barrel to lower it enough and a scope hasnt got a chance. Anyone have any good ideas? Havent tried calling Brownig but may give it a try.

If it's shooting high, you need to lower the rear sight or raise the front sight.

Would probably need about an inch and a half of lowering or raising-just havent got it Its really 18" high.

If you could disassemble it enough you could look through the bore and see if it was bent

If the above info is correct you need a front sight that is .200" higher. there is a formula to figure for windage/ height. take the amount in inches that you are hi/low divide by the distance you are shooting at in inches in this case it is 18' divided by 1800" (50 yds) then multiply by barrel length 20". I think your problem that is not sight related.

I think its bent or off center. Rifle originally came from my store and I dont think the fellow abused it. Hight of front sight still wont help my 67 year old abused eyes.
