Im looking for a barrel for my 500E .410 bore. Mine has a full choke, and I want a cyl. bore.

I know that Mossbergs have to be matched by capacity, due to their design.

I noticed that the .410 bore cruiser has the same shot capacity as the 500 field, So I called Mossberg, and they told me that they are different guns, and that the cruiser is not a 500, so the barrel wont interchange...

I don;t really believe them at this point, because I have had to call Mossberg in the past for other things, and they always say something outlandish.

If I get a barrel for the 6 shot 410 cruiser, will it fit on my 6 shot 410 field?

Yes, it will. It's the same gun. The cruiser name simply denotes a pistol gripped shorty version of the shotgun. The person you spoke to was probably new.

I'm going to second that - same gun , just different configuration. Barrels should swap with no problem.
