Ok got the information I needed for my C/T 50cal hawkins that is on the way, one question and I think I have the answer but gotta ask anyway. I have seen the moderen pellets for what I assume is the straight line rifles, will the pellets work in a mussel loader with sidelock, firing #11 caps??

No, probably not without some improvisation. Pellets aren't designed to work in side locks except for the TC Firestorm that has a special breech plug and a 209 ignition.
Even though pellets aren't recommended, they might be made to work if about 10 grains of loose powder were loaded into the breech first as an igniter load for the pellet[s].
Another way to increase the chances for this method to work would be to install an aftermarket nipple that uses a musket cap or a 209 primer which provide for a hotter spark.
I haven't heard any reports whether doing this would work or not because the pellets are more expensive than loose powder is, so most folks don't bother trying it. Plus the inline rifles that are designed to work with pellets start at a price as low as $99 or less.
But if you can buy some pellets on clearance it might be worth trying along with the loose igniter powder charge first. And then if it doesn't work try it with a musket nipple or 209 conversion nipple. Those are called Mag-Spark nipples. But Mag-Sparks aren't the easiest devices to recap.
