Can someone please tell me the correct torque for the action screws for a Remington Model 7?
Also, should there be a barrel pressure point bedded in a rem.custom shop KS model 7 in 7mm08 with 20"barrel and kevlar stock ?
Thanks

As per Remington service/maintenance manual:
Model 7 Synthetic or wood stock....Non-Magnum
FRONT BOLT 30 lb/in. (inch pounds)
REAR BOLT 20 lb/in. (inch pounds) EXACT/ MAXIMUM TORQUE
1st. pass, torque Front to 10 in/lb, Rear to 10 in/lb.
2nd. pass torque front to 30 lb/in, Rear to 20 lb/in. EXACTLY ( 20 inch pound is MAXIMUM torque on REAR screw)
Magnum calibers use the same torque, there was, for a time, a amendment to the torque values for the KS (Kevlar) stocks, if the KS stock had an aluminum bedding block, the torque value for the FRONT screw was 35 lb/in. (inch pounds) and the REAR screw remained the same value at 20 lb/in. Maximum (inch pounds).
