I am looking for a holster rig for hunting with- will use either a Para P14 or a S&W 1006.
I don't have a clue, shoulder rig or belt holster or what?
Need something adjustable enough to wear over a jacket or heavy coat.
Been looking at all the old posts but finding out what other use and the pros and cons might make this purchase a little better for function.
BTW - Pistol will be an secondary firearm
Any help will be much appreciated - link to websites will really help.
I have found quite a few websites from old posts.

Try the Simply Rugged Cuda. It is an outside the belt (OWB) holster that can be purchased with straps to allow inside the waist (IWB) carry and a strap system that will allow shoulder/chest carry (Chesty Puller system).

A slightly different design, that quite a few hunters find comfortable, is the El Paso Saddlery "Tanker". This is a shoulder holster that rides low on your ribcage instead of directly under your armpit where it would interfere with pack straps -

They make them for your exact barrel length, as well as pistol/revolver model.

I own two Simply Rugged holsters so far. You won't be disappointed.
