Looks like a 1911 as drawn by a political caroonist who doesn't know firearms.
Seems like they managed to screw up a lot of the things that make a 1911 beautiful. But who knows, maybe they've finally fixed some of those things that don't need fixin' -- and answered those questions no one asked. It's about time.

That is as messed up as a football bat.:what:
January 22, 2010, 10:42 AM
The profile of that grip makes it look weird..........also no thumb safety as it is DA.......:neener:
January 22, 2010, 11:42 AM
Yeah, the wood grips shown are what really puts me off. The shape and design.
January 22, 2010, 01:07 PM
The double-action Agent has become my newest object of lust.
January 22, 2010, 01:10 PM
Is it SA/DA or DAO?
I kinda like the idea of SA/DA 1911 with no stupid grip safety.

January 22, 2010, 01:23 PM
Is it a true double action, or something more akin to those abysmal Para "light double action" designs?
January 22, 2010, 01:57 PM
Looks like an LDA knock off.
If Colt would produce what people want, they would be much better off.
January 22, 2010, 06:45 PM
Wow, they've had 20 years to work on that design and they still haven't figured out how to make a DA action that doesn't need horrid grips to cover it. Maybe in another 20....
January 22, 2010, 06:52 PM
It looks like a Colt-Sauer, just a little bit. :D
January 22, 2010, 07:07 PM
I think its a nice looking gun, but then again I own a Glock so...
January 22, 2010, 07:12 PM
Looks kinda like this to me....
The Lone Haranguer
January 22, 2010, 07:19 PM
Is that Photoshopped? :p With a spurless hammer and no visible safety or decocker, it appears to be a DAO, very similar to the Para-Ordnance LDA.
January 22, 2010, 07:34 PM
Looks kinda like this to me....
....more like this to me:):
January 22, 2010, 07:48 PM
Even idiots who keeps hitting themselves in the hand with a Hammer learns faster than the boys at Colt apparently .
It didn't sell 20 or so years ago what in the world would make them think what looks like the exact same gun will today ?
January 22, 2010, 07:54 PM
Hey, that makes a Glock look pretty damn good!
January 22, 2010, 11:18 PM
Why dont they just buy the rights to Para's LDA system and save themselves mountains of cash.
January 23, 2010, 05:14 AM
Looks a lot like the Seecamp Colts and the Double Eagle with a bobbed hammer. OBVIOUSLY DA only.
Those Seecamps made by OTHER companies have a HORRIBLE trigger, trust me I have one. The 'real deal' Seecamps are supposed to work pretty well.
I thought the Double eagle was pretty functional design, weak point was the grip holding in the DA 'guts', if you dropped it and broke that grip you might have parts everywhere.
The old 'conversion' frames had a metal side plate that held everything in.
And wait is that a POLYMER fame???
January 23, 2010, 06:59 AM
I never was a fan of the Double Eagle, but except for the 5" barrel I like the looks of this one.
January 23, 2010, 09:32 AM
I like the clean lines of it, and I only carry DAO, so I would certainly give it a try if they can figure out how to make it accept standard 1911 grips.
January 23, 2010, 08:23 PM
I agree with you KurtC. I would like to try one, and see if 1911 grips fit.

January 23, 2010, 08:38 PM
Any idea what the other side looks like? It can't be any worse, can it?
January 23, 2010, 08:45 PM
Don't see lining up for that one.
January 23, 2010, 09:05 PM
Oh well, I was wrong. I think the checkering might be violating child-labor laws.
