Today is election day for the governor of Lousiana. Bobby Jindal is running and is a young, former Rhodes scholar of Indian decent that is adamantly pro-gun. Make sure you get to the poles and spread the word. We need this kind of fresh blood in the fight for our freedom.

Yes, that is sad, but on the national level might be a good thing. Republicans have been getting a little cocky lately, due to a big string of overwhelming successes. (2002 elections, Arnold {yes, I know he's a RINO}, winning 2 governorships, R registers rising, D registers falling, etc).
I've heard a lot of cries of "Is Dubya gonna win just 48 states, or 49 states!"
IMHO, the public is still pretty divided as in 2000 except on one issue - National Security.
Its here where Bush gets his mandate, and by a lot of indicators the difficulties in Iraq and the medias endless flaunting of them are starting to take a hold on "Joe Sixpack".
So, in my opinion, when I hear pundits opine that the Democratic party is dead, I ain't buying it. Yes, I think they are slowly turning ultra-leftist, but once again I don't think that's the general public perception.
So I thinks its good in a way for the Republicans to lose one (now, LA Rs might beg to differ!).
