Model 12 lubrication?

I have just aquirred a 16 gauge model 12 in excellent condition that I wish to return to the hunt. Previously it has been well cared for on the sidelines with frequent wax applications to both the metal and the wood. Upon examination it appears to be quite dry of any kind of lubrication. My question is twofold; where does a pumpgun need to be lubed to run well in the field and do I need to strip the wax from the exposed metal parts and lightly wipe it down with lube too? Thanks...

EEzox is a good choice to protect metal - I use Mobil 1 as lube - you do not need to strip wax as it will dissolve in oil. If you do not want Mobil 1 wipe it with Breakfree CLP and spray the action with it too. Do not forget the inside of the Mag tube - often not protected.
The Model 12 is a wonderful gun - I want one.
