My first hunting rifle, a rem 270win, had a peep sight. I have a couple grandsons that I want to graduate to deer rifles, but I want them learn iron sight first.

I am asking for help in finding a source for peep sights, prefer receiver, for rem. and howa bolt action.

Years ago, most bolt-action sporting riifles were stocked for use with iron sights because they had iron sights on them.

Today, almost all of them come with no sights, and a straight scope stock.

For the most part, you will have a problem getting your head down far enough to use a peep or open sight on a scope stocked rifle.

Look before you leap.

Thanks for the links. These did not show up on google search.

I also saw thet have a peep site that will mount to a weaver style base, that may be the way to go.
