CZ 452 Varmint hmr stock tight against barrel?

This stock is touching all the way down the barrel on the left side with plenty of clearance underneath the barrel. the right side seems to have enough but, I can't even slide a dollar bill without a lot of effort and I can actually see the stock move a little when doing it. anyone else had one touching this bad? The only thing touching seems to be just the very top edge and when installing the barreled action, I can feel the barrel being pulled to the left side of the stock when the action screws are tightened. What bothers me is that the margin of wood on each side of the barrel is close to the same if anything, there's already a little less on the left side. opinions needed please, should I go ahead and relieve some wood on the upper edge or send the gun back? would sure hate too! Thanks! :)

How does it shoot is the question you need to answer?
If it shoots as well as all the CZ's I have had any dealings with, I would not touch it.

I've had a few CZ's that have had poorly fitted wood. As rc said shoot it and see how accurate it is - I would do some sustained rapid fire to see if the heat makes any difference to the impact point. I did have to completely re-inlet and bed a 452 in .17 hmr as it was nearly 1/2 off to one side with the factory inletting!

This is a well known thing about CZs and a source of endless discussion over at Rimfire central. Both of my 452s are that way from the factory, and shoot very well without relieving anything.
