I have been needing a new larger safe for many years now. After doing some research and asking some of my friends I went and visited Sportsman Steel Safe Co. The are a local company in my area which is a plus because I can touch and feel the product. I went to there wherehouse on fri night and was helped by Tony. I had picked the size and color of the safe that was in my budget and was prepared to leave a deposit. After being there with my 4yr old daughter for a half hour I looked at a larger safe and commented that that was the size safe that I really wanted. It turns out that the safe I had commented on was a special order and the customer did not want it. Tony said he would make me a hell of a deal on it. I was looking to spend around $1300 so I asked him how much. His reply was two grand. I asked if I could think about it and he told me to call him in the morning and let him know. My wife told me to get the safe I wanted and make sure it was large enough so I didnt have to buy another for a while. I called in the morning and told Tony that I wanted the safe and he told me he could put the finishing touches on it and have it ready today. To entice me even more he told me that if I came in today he would deliver it to my house, for free! I rushed to the wherehouse two hours after closing time to pay and give him the combo I wanted. I rushed home to clear and area for the new arrival and received it before five pm. I am extremely happy with the level of customer service that I got despite what I read online.
