I purchased and recieved this Fixed 4X Leupold scope: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0031540710153a&type=product&cmCat=cchart_riflescopes
This has the gloss finish and the standard Duplex retical. The scope can be had with a matte finish, but only with the wide duplex retical. I prefer the standard duplex retical, but not this finish since this is for a deer rifle. Will the gloss finish cause a problem in the field? Obviously the concern is with sun glare spooking a deer. Should I keep this scope, and maybe paint with dull camo paint or go with the wide duplex?. Something about the wide duplex doesn't seem to agree with my eyes, but then I may just get used to it over time. Any opinions on this? Thanks in advance.
