question about Fiocchi buckshot

so I'm going to pick up some #4 buckshot, and I'm going to compare a few brands first. I am going to select between Winchester Super X, Federal Power Shok and Fiocchi.
Does anyone know if the Fiocchi has the longer Euro-style crimp, like the Sellier & Bellot? I'm not a fan of that. To me, there IS a noticeable difference in the feel of the cycle and it DOES sap mag tube space, to an extent. My favorite shell dimensions are the good ol' Super X/Remington stubby style, high base and short, tight crimp. Federal falls somewhere between the two.

Only Fiocchi buck I have handy is 12HV00BK, high velocity 9-pellet 00. They're star crimped, 6 point, kinda sloppily, but deep to help keep the pellets in place. OAL for an unfired round is 2.26", if that helps.

Looks like the #4B is star crimped as well;

I have some Fiocchi buckshot I bought several years ago. Sold in 5-round boxes.
Appears to be STEEL-BASE plated with a thin layer of yellow metal (brass?).
The bases rusted quite badly while sitting in the boxes. I doubt the boxes are "acid-free" paper. The ammo was stored in the original paper boxes on a shelf in the basement, and placed well away from any significant source of moisture. None of my other ammo corroded.
I was able to use steel wool (and on a few shells I even had to use a FILE!), to remove the rust. I've fired a few of these shells without incident. I still have about 20 rounds, now wiped-down with CLP on the metal bases, and stored inside airtight plastic bags. The rusting seems to have ceased.
Lesson learned about "cheap" shotgun shells.

From left to right these are...
Nobel Sport LE #4 Buck; longest case, separate cardboard top, shot noticebly rattles
S&B 21 pellet #4 Buck; next longer case, separate plastic top, shot rattles a tad
Federal #00 Buck
Winchester #00 Buck
Remington Express BB Shot
Fiocchi (America) Nickel Plated #4 Buck
I am positive a Mossberg 500 will fully load five of all of these in the standard magazine (it will actually accept five American 3" Mag rounds as a matter of fact).

PS: W.E.G. -- petroleum distillates deactivate primers: your shells are rust free but unreliable.

I live close to the ocean and have no corrosion problems with any of my Fiocchi shells.
However the plastic in these appears to be only one step above hardened cheese and because of that I sure wouldn't want to have to leave a mag tube loaded with them for too long.

Oh please.
I wiped the CLP on the BASES, and not on the primers.
Did you think I said I dunked the shells in oil?
Do you understand the mechanical construction of shotgun primers?

To W.E.G. Vodka has an informative response with a helpful hint that a newbie may not be aware of and you respond with sarcasm. No good deed goes unpunished.

W.E.G.,
Products like CLP tend to 'creep.' The warning was well considered...

I had Fiocchi #4 and Remington 00 loaded up for a while, probably had the thing loaded up for oh...2 1/4 years. Eventually I rotated out my ammo (finally!) and noticed that the 00's crimp was opened up a bit and dropping little bits of filler everywhere but the #4 was holding up just fine. There was a lot of tarnishing on the brass bits on both but nothing in the way of any catastropic failure.
