Looking for a decent Tactical Scope for my H&R340 in .06. I have been checking out the 4200 Elite 6X24X40 with milDot reticle on the Bushnell web page. Looking at around $756.00 for their product. The question is. Is it a good buy for the money?

I have a the carbine version of you rifle with the mannlicher style stock in .243 with an elite 3200 on it. The elites are from the old bausch and lomb the 3200's are nice the 4200's and 6500's I think are the best value in scopes; I compared them to leupolds, zeiss, and some swaro's and they performed better on line tests at 25 and 75 yds which are not subjective. 6-24 seems a bit much for a 06 though.

Dude - that sounds like too much - check Natchez and other closeouts, and the sample list at SWFA and ebay and other auction sites. I have that exact scope except without the mildot reticle, and I don't think I paid over $400 for it, IIRC. Are you sure you don't mean the x50mm?

But yes, I have let's see - three 4200s, one 6500, one 3200, about four Banners, one Trophy, one Legend, and a Sportsman red dot. So yes, I obviously think that generally they give good value. The only one I'm disappointed in is the Legend - excellent optical quality, but doesn't track worth a crap - maybe it's just broken or I'm smokin weed, or the rifle it's on was jacked up. But I had a rough range trip with the Legend awhile back.

The 6500 rocks - love it. I have it in the 2.5-16x50 version.

Word on the street though is that the 4-30x versions of the 6500 are NOT good - not very clear for some reason.

What is the word on the
BUSHNELL ELITE 3200 3-9X40 Matte rifle SCOPE 323944M

I considered the Nikon Prostaff bdc.
any comments for this gun are appreciated.
Shooting whitetails in MI (100 yds.) and possibly muledeer and antelope in Montana with my sixteen year old son this fall. (300 yds.)

Heard the 4200 elite would be a better piece of glass but I can get the 3200 for $150 a scope on eBay. Please advise.

Putting these scopes on a Remington model 700 CDL and a model 750 semi auto.

I have the 4200 4-16x40 AO with the regular duplex type reticle, and I love it. Paid around $300 a couple years ago. I think I may have gotten it from ebay, new.
