Just got home from the first range visit with my new Glock 33 .357 SIG subcompact and all I can say is WOW!! What a great gun. Accuracy is excellent, recoil isn't the problem I expected and it easily digested several different loadings. Tough to beat in an easily concealed gun, I'm thrilled. :D

How was the muzzle flash? Or should I say flare? Flamethrower? Used to be a big joke with people carrying 2.5 inch .357 mags (full power with light bullets) that you could always tell the person you shot in the emergency room. He's the guy in the burn unit that surgeons found a bullet hole in.:D

The muzzle flash wasn't that bad. It's not as light as a 9mm but it's not a problem either.

I have learned to really like the 357 sig, my only issue is trying to decide which platform :scrutiny: You should be happy w/ you 33!

I got one of those for my girlfriend cause she couldn't shoot the snubnose revolver very well. She loves it.

Only think I don't like about the 357SIG is that it is a very "shocking" round, probably because it's so damn fast. Hurts to shoot it for very long.

Now all you need is a .40 barrel...for no real reason...just to have! :D

The "range guy" noticed I was shooting .357 Sig (they check to make sure it's factory ammo) and asked which gun I had. I told him a Glock 33 and he asked to check it out right there at the counter since they had never had one in stock. Of course I obliged and offered him a chance shoot it. He didn't take me up this time but I'm sure he will when they aren't so busy.
