5 years later I realize...

I bought a used Ruger P94DC.40 in Excellent condition 5 years back for $250
I was reading the gun's manual and flipped to a page that states in bold print that the P94DC is a 9mm model, not .40! I've had this gun for 5 years; put 1000 rounds through it and all this time thought I owned a factory original unmolested Ruger .40 I'm feeling a little foolish and duped.
I want to ask you guys what I need to convert it back to 9mm besides clips & barrel? I like .40 more than 9mm but the gun jams a lot on cheap range reloads(but not factory ammo) I thought this jamming was cause the cheap ammo but now I'm thinking its the conversion and don't want to take any chances. This is my only semi-auto and am relying on it to take me through thick n thin.
Can you think of any damage my gun may have incurred during it's last 5 years as a .40?
Thanks for your help.
I look forward to being part of this forum.

Man I would flame you if I hadn't seen your user name. Maybe you should punch in Ruger p94 before you assume its a 9mm .Me thinks you got the wrong book. But if not I give you a hundred and two dollars for it since you had to stretch the frame. Proabably bent the extractor and warped the 5 mega watt transducer too.

Here's some pictures off my gun in case my first post was confusing. The gun works well, just want to know how to convert back to 9mm and what damages .40 conversion may have caused.
PDF of ruger manual linked below. Page #3 states the P94dc is chambered 9mm

Pics didnt come through. I owe you an appology, I was not aware of a 9mm p94 . However I do not think that that a 9mm can be converted to a 40, though I could be wrong. Did you look at closely at your model #.I am sure beyond any reasonable doubt that if there was a way to convert it that a Ruger would stand it.

Contact Ruger, but I believe they did indeed make the 94 in .40S&W (may be wrong, not much of a pistol guy myself)...use better ammo. ;)

Guy the p94 was made in one caliber..... 40 S&W, your manual is wrong.

Dr Mall Ninja your link answered my question precisely.
It appears all P944DC guns(.40) say P94 on the slide just like the 9mm. The ruger Manual sure confuses things.
Thanks for the help. I was worried I'd have to drop another hundred bucks to convert back to a caliber I didn't want. Big relief.
