... The gorilla in this story was reported to be only 300 pounds but a lot of male gorillas that I've seen in zoos have been 400-500 pounds. Don't think five rounds of .38special coming from a J-frame would do much good. Wonder if a 9mm or a .45ACP would get the job done?

LEO/authorities I suggest:
10#'s of banannas and a tranquilzer gun...
call two wagons to transport, one for the ape, the other for the winos that are in the alley...ready for/ headed to recovery...tho not a pink elephant...close enough to seek sobriety...

the most important thing you can do to your gun to make it usefull when shooting a Gorilla,is to file the front sight off....that way when he takes it from you and sticks it up your a$$....it won't hurt as much!!!:D
