A fist full of 10mm in a nice concealable package
November 16, 2003, 02:22 PM
G20. Hooray 10mm.
November 16, 2003, 02:24 PM
I picked the 19, which I own, because I think it's a great all-around package. The only Glock I don't own that I might want at this point would be a G20.
November 16, 2003, 02:27 PM
I voted other. If the 18 is out of the question then I would go with a 36. What can I say, I'm a single stack .45 kind of guy.
November 16, 2003, 02:28 PM
I already have a G17L. If I could have another Glock, I'd choose a G20 (and add a 6" barrel) or a G24 (and swap the barrel for one in .357Sig).
November 16, 2003, 02:29 PM
I voted for the G-19; chambered for 9m/m, and
a great concealment piece!:D

a 17..9mm..full size.im not familiar with glocks and i hate plastic but a friend has assured me that they are worth a second look.if id won one,ill give it a wirl.
November 16, 2003, 02:42 PM
....oh, it's a hypothetical....
Actually, I'm a little new getting back into handguns. I find that Glock seems to be pretty popular, but they have a dizzying number of models and varieties out there. I haven't figured out what all the different models are. One of you Glocksters point me to the compact 9mm....
November 16, 2003, 02:46 PM
Compact 9mm = G19
November 16, 2003, 03:08 PM
G20 because I'm on a 10mm kick. Althought I'd really want a G18 or a FA conversion with applicable paperwork for my G24P :D
November 16, 2003, 03:44 PM
I vote other cause I'd like a G26 :D
It is my belief that the subcompact Glocks are THE best personal defense weapons available!
November 16, 2003, 04:11 PM
I'm not a big Glock fan actually but the 36 looks interesting for a CCW gun.
WHY do they have to be as UGLY as a door stop???
JMHO If they had a Stainless Slide and more asthetically pleasing design other than the square block slide, I might actually buy a one.
November 16, 2003, 04:25 PM
I like the uniquenss of the fullsize 10mm, so I voted for the 20.
November 16, 2003, 04:29 PM
I had a G19 once, but traded it off. I'd get another!!
November 16, 2003, 04:33 PM
Second place would be a G23, sort of a "G29 Lite." ;)
November 16, 2003, 04:49 PM
Another vote for the full-size 10mm, with a second option on the full-size .45.
November 16, 2003, 04:50 PM
Now, what can I trade this NIB Glock for?
November 16, 2003, 04:53 PM
My G30 was my favorite of all the Glocks I've owned. I sold it, big mistake.
November 16, 2003, 05:23 PM
I wouldn't mind getting a Glock 19.
November 16, 2003, 05:56 PM
Where's the 18???
In all seriousness, I picked the 22 cuz I have a hankering for a full-size Glock and it would dovetail nicely ammo-wise with my 23. There's isn't really a Glock I wouldn't take though. I like 'em all.
November 16, 2003, 06:08 PM
Glock 19. Fits my hand perfectly and can double as home defense/CHL gun.
November 16, 2003, 06:13 PM
G26. I need sumpfin to backup my G19's.. :o
November 16, 2003, 06:25 PM
Any Glock that didn't have that God-awful, sloppy, 'sprongie",floppy Glock trigger.
November 16, 2003, 07:28 PM
I'd find out wich one is most in demand, then choose that one so I could sell it. :D
To actually own, a Glock 19 I think.
November 16, 2003, 07:37 PM
i would go with the glock 30 i've always wanted one :D
November 16, 2003, 07:42 PM
I voted for the 19. It's the first Glock I really liked and is a very size efficient pistol. But, I'd also like a 26 or 29 or 30.
November 16, 2003, 07:50 PM
Voted G22 because I already have 2 9mm Glocks (G19c, G34) and a 45 Glock (G30). Now I need a .40, so I'll take a G22.
November 16, 2003, 07:59 PM
Make mine a G29.
November 16, 2003, 08:41 PM
G17. I think it would be the easiest to sell. :neener: :p
November 16, 2003, 08:43 PM
G20 cause I think it'd bring more or weild a better trade.:D
lee n. field
November 16, 2003, 09:30 PM
Whichever one is a full sized .45 ACP. No KB for me, thank you.:D
November 16, 2003, 09:32 PM
Full size .45 ACP = G21
...another appealing choice...
November 16, 2003, 09:44 PM
A handy, eleven shot .41 maggie just has a certain appeal.
November 16, 2003, 10:04 PM
Got a 19 and a 20 already, so I voted "other" - for a 29 or 36.
November 16, 2003, 11:59 PM
I voted other, because the G26 was not listed among the choices, but that would be my choice. It would be a nice companion to the G19 I already own. And I have little personal use for the .40 or .357 SIG cartridges; the 9mm is adequate.
November 17, 2003, 12:54 AM
It'll be in the Classifieds for sale or trade to finance other guns.
Son of John
November 17, 2003, 07:35 AM
Stick with the .40 fullsize. Then go to Lone Wolf.com and get a .357 Sig barrel and a 9 mm conversion barrel (and a 9 mm mag) so you can shoot three different calibers with your one gun. The 22 (or 17, 31) is the best ergonomic Glock but that's me.
Or hold out for the 18 and go full auto. Buying the 18 might cost more than all of the others combined.
I agree the 10 mm will probably get the best resale if you hock it.
November 17, 2003, 08:34 AM
I would choose the one i could sell the fastest and still make the most money on so I could buy something I actually wanted.
Personally I don't think there's anything wrong with a Glock. It's just a matter of personal preference.
Let me know if your range ever raffles off a blued, firing pin on the hammer S&W N-frame. :D
November 17, 2003, 08:49 AM
I have a G22 so I voted G19. That or a G26 would be fine. :D
November 17, 2003, 09:17 AM
I voted g19 cause that what I did. A local shop has a Glock week every year along with the offering of a free Glock drawing. I put my name in and for giggles I put in my wife's name (double the chance), well she won it. We went to the shop and messed with them and weSHE picked the G19 and now I can hardly get it back from my daughter AKA Gus Dddysgrl.
November 17, 2003, 09:27 AM
Now, that's not fair ;)... It is dangerous to my checking account for me to think about older blued N frames....
November 17, 2003, 02:43 PM
G19. No hesitation. A smallish 9, with an easily-held grip. (But I won't buy it).
November 17, 2003, 02:46 PM
Glock 19 -- and a 30 would be nice....:D
November 17, 2003, 03:53 PM
Glock 19. Had one about 10 years ago and sold it. Always wanted another one.:banghead:
November 17, 2003, 04:06 PM
I love my G19 (9mm), but I've got an itch for a .357SIG, so I voted for the G32. Same frame as the 19, but chambered for the SIG!
November 17, 2003, 04:11 PM
I did not see the G36 on your ballot. While I am not a great fan of Glocks -- poorer than expected accuracy due to the mushy striker/trigger and loose barrel, but excellent durability, quality and reliability -- I must say that 6+1 of +P 200 grain .45 ACP is a might potent defensive load in a firearm the size of a Glock 36.
November 17, 2003, 04:54 PM
30, I would have a pair.
November 17, 2003, 08:58 PM
I'd go for a G34 since I already have 2 G17's :D
November 17, 2003, 09:24 PM
Of the 3 Glocks (23, 27 and 30) I've owned the G30 is the one I've kept,
it is true Glockness realized. However I'm fostering a G19 for a cousin
while he gets a legal issue straightened out and I must admit this model
with 15-rounders is mighty appealing.
November 17, 2003, 10:07 PM
A G20 just 'cuz I don't own a .40
Although I'd really prefer a G18. The G7 would be a close second. Not much chance for either but at least the G18 is real.
November 18, 2003, 01:33 PM
I've already got the best Glock, Glock makes...the 19. Just for a change, give me a 21.
November 18, 2003, 03:08 PM
got the 17...if I was thinking I would've got the 19......more carryable..but I love my 17......
November 18, 2003, 07:02 PM
For free, I'd take one in this order of preference:
November 18, 2003, 09:23 PM
I sold one and always wish I hadn't. I've already got a G35, so a compact 9 would be real nice.
Mil Novecientos Once
November 18, 2003, 09:32 PM
If you won a Glock...
I would trade it for an XD.
November 18, 2003, 09:58 PM
If I were to win won, I'd have to vote G36..........45 ACP all the way! :D
November 19, 2003, 01:06 PM
I need a new boat anchor!:D
November 19, 2003, 02:45 PM
30. Small bark, big bite.
November 19, 2003, 03:58 PM
i'd take which ever one i thought i could get more money for, and sell it. or, i suppose i could give it to my husband as a present. but he better be really nice to me. :D
November 20, 2003, 08:41 AM
...and I've enjoyed some of the humor as well.:D
I sincerely hope that within the group of folks who've been shooting at MY range, there are at least as many who wouldn't take a Glock under any circumstances, even to finance an immediate trade...that would improve my odds of winning considerably :neener:
November 20, 2003, 02:57 PM
What's a Glock?:neener:
November 20, 2003, 05:03 PM
Hahahaha. Imagine an '80s volvo, painted black with a handle sticking out of the side...
November 20, 2003, 05:10 PM
Well, If I'd won I'd select the one worth the most and and trade it for something I wanted. If I had to keep it for some reason, I'd prolly go with the G36.
November 20, 2003, 10:36 PM
How much would I have to tape, tie or other wise add on to it to make a suitable boat anchor?
Truthfully If I was given one I'd spend enough time with it to master that trigger. Who said that..............:neener:
November 21, 2003, 12:06 AM
Look like at least 29 people have no prior hands-on experience with Glocks.
November 21, 2003, 09:49 AM
November 21, 2003, 10:35 AM
I wouldn't take a Glock even if they are giving it away 29
Look like at least 29 people have no prior hands-on experience with Glocks
Yeah, I can respect a difference in opinion, but I'd take a free Yugo and see if I couldn't end up with some financial benefit (probably Yugo - junkbox car for Yugo SKS).:D
I guess I can understand why folks don't like them...with those horrible triggers, I can't see how anyone could hit anything with them. ;) .
I like to kid about the Glock Rockets, Tactical Tupperware etc. etc. etc..
I get as much as I dish out. I know some die hard Glocksters that call me old fashioned, hard headed and a 1911 snob. Most of then are just bugged by the fact that I usually out shoot them with my old fashioned 1911.
I personally don't have a lot of experience with Glocks. Hell I don't have very much experience with Glocks at all. I do respect the capabilites of the weapons.
My chosen pistol design is the 1911. I don't even like plastic frame 1911.
I used to shoot a buddy's 21 at the range. It really is a great gun and awesomely accurate in his hands. I just can't seem to get the hang of it.
I was allowed to shoot 100 rounds of 9mm through a ?, don't recall the model, one day at the range. I did about as well with it as my buddys 21.
I woudn't have any trouble hitting the bad guy if I needed to.
I am simply many, many, many, times more familiar with my 1911's.
And as they say, with familiarity comes confidence!
Then I go back to the short sweet triggers on most of my 1911 and I'm happy again.
Like I said, If somebody gave me one of my choice, it would be a G21 and I would take the time to master the trigger.
The trigger action on the Glock isn't bad. It is just not what I am accustomed to.
Judging by the target pic you posted, I'd say you put in the time to know your weapon.
November 21, 2003, 09:47 PM
Of the ones you had on your poll, i picked a glock 30....but i really want a 29. I've been accurate with and liked all the glocks i have fired, but i liked HK better, which is why i just bought a USP instead.
November 21, 2003, 11:24 PM
No offense intended - 'cause I really like the Glocks as well - but 7 yards is hardly a test of either a weapons or an operators capabilities. Pretty hard NOT to hit all bulls at that range - even with a Beretta... :uhoh:
November 22, 2003, 12:44 AM
I would get a G26 for the ultimate CCW. But I would still use my G17 more than anything else on the range. I love that gun.
November 22, 2003, 03:11 AM
I got a bunch of education at your location:
High School plus a few years at PSU.
Enjoy the forum.:)

Thanks Lancel. I'm a native. Graduated State High 80 and PSU 85.
(Edit: Sorry fer the highjack. And now back to the Glock Raffle...)

All in good fun...
...there are those that worship at the temple of Gaston, and there are those that worship at the shrine of the venerable John Moses Browning.
I am a member of neither congregation. I enjoy my Glocks for what they are. The triggers are a challenge, but they teach me something every time out, as do my other autoloaders.
...and with respect, 7-yds is a widely recognized benchmark for contact distance for self-defense...and one that I practice regularly with all my autoloaders to obtain or retain a level of proficiency.
If you are talking NRA Bullseye type shooting, I think the 1911's have it all over the Glocks...I'm actually aggressively pursuing my first 1911 purchase...just for spite ;) , I may have it move in with the Glocks in the same safe :D .
Glocks and a 1911 living together, what is the world coming too? :p
November 22, 2003, 10:55 PM
I'd grab a 21, so I could have something that shoots .45ACP like my dad and my brother's guns (my own handgun shoots 9mm, cause the ammo's so cheap).
November 22, 2003, 11:02 PM
If I won it and could choose one I'd pick the most expensive one so I could sell it and get something else.
November 22, 2003, 11:42 PM
(In my best "Church Lady" voice)
HMMMMMMMM - Like a BERETTA!!!!!!!
November 23, 2003, 12:36 AM
I have shot almost all of them. The frames are different. I would pick either the model 29 or model 30. More bang and PUNCH for the buck. Just my .02. Good luck on the draw!!

HMMMMMMMM - Like a BERETTA!!!!!!!
Or a Browning, or a Colt, or a CZ, or a Sig, or a H&K, or a Hi-Point....ok stretching it there, but you get the idea. Just about anything else on the planet other than a Glock.
Trying to think of something good to say about a Glock. Ok, thought of something. They're light and they don't have a beavertail or a grip safety....
November 23, 2003, 06:44 AM
Before I vote which one sells for the highest price? :neener:
November 23, 2003, 08:08 AM
Hmm...I don't know, but I would guess the 34 or the 20. Don't know for sure though...:D
November 23, 2003, 06:35 PM
I woud pick the one with the most resale value, and trade it in on an XD.
