More specifically I was looking at their sinterfire rounds. I was thinking of it mainly for a home defense round(I live in a town). Thanks for your help

I don't get the smile that is the title of the round, it is a frangible round made by them and that's what they have chosen as the name thank you for two useless and uninformed responses

Holy crap welcome to the high road. anyway ill play the only stuff ive used is their .223 50gr V-max rounds for hunting. I like it. Its accurate, clean, and kills coyotes. Never used the stuff your asking about but i like their .223s

+1 for their .223 stuff.

Welcome to the high road. The ammo I've used has always been accurate, clean, and cheaper than most. The shooting dynamics ammo is great for target. I wouldn't use it for hunting or HD as it's a bit light. Chuck Hawks thinks highly of most of their ammo.

Try it out - you may or may not think it's the best, but there's worse ammo out there that costs more money.

Welcome to THR. I've used their .40 rounds loaded with the Hornady XTPs and my Sigma likes them. No problems at all. Just wish it was brass cases instead of nickle.

SinterFire
http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=363053

Sintering is a high-temperature furnacing process that barely approaches the melt point of the material. In this case, the material is metal powder. Instead of melting into a liquid, only the outer surfaces of the metal particle bond together. Sintering can be used to produce very dense/strong MIM parts (eg: triggers), or weaker item such as Fiochi's frangible bullet, or a very porous structure such as a filter.

(hey nipprdog, you made me laugh! thanx 4 ur humour. Bad spelters untie!)
