I'm looking for a loading lever & plunger assy for a Colt 1849 Pocket revolver. 5 inch barrel - If I can't find an original I will replace with a reproduction, but I am having trouble locating even a reproduction loading lever set up. Dixie Gunworks say they have none available .

Anybody have parts, or know where I can get them ??? I can modify a 4 or 6 inch barrel lever.

Check with Lodgewood MFG. of Whitewater Wisconsin. Best supplier of original parts I know of. Also, S & S firearms also has a good stock of original stuff.

Both also carry repro parts also.

Extremely helpful guys - Thanks Much !!

Looks like I will have no trouble with getting repro parts - would like to have original, but much harder to find.

Thanks arcticap , I had contacted them as they listed the lever for about $80 on their site - when I contacted them however they indicated they did not have a 5 inch, and that they wanted $140 for a lever 4 or 6 inch. I don't know why the difference in cost but thought if I have to pay that much for a bare lever I have to modify, I might just as well go with a repro.

Taylor firearms has a huge parts department. I checked and they currently show the part your looking for at $35.00.

Good luck

Try Dixie Gun Works...... They list most of those parts, original and reproductions in their catalog.;)

Thanks - I had tried Dixe and they were out of the loading lever assemblies.

I thank all who replied and I have found repro parts at the sites you fellows steared me to. I have all I need on order now so I am good to go unless someone has an original 5 inch loading lever assy, which I might still consider to keep the gun all original.
