Which Missouri Bullet should I order for plinking loads? I do want something that groups well. But is a little less in the recoil dept. than most factory 44 mag loads. I think I'll probably load 240g XTP's for hunting rounds. BTW, I'm using H universal powder.

I like 200 to 215 gr lead for .44 Spl. I don't download the .44 Mag anymore, but preferred bullets in the same range for it. I did not care for the 180 Gr bullets. They were light in recoil, and shot well though.

The 12 BHN Cowboy #5 might be just the ticket for really light loads, but for just a little less recoil than full loads, and the velocity and pressure to match, the 18 BHN bullets are what you need.
