"Bore Shot" What exactly is it?

I placed an order with Paraklese Technologies for their 8 pellet "00" BUck load in 20ga. A month after not receiving the order, I emailed them asking what happened to the order. They promptly emailed me back, apologized and said they were rushing the order and were including some extra ammo.
So I received three 7/8OZ sabot slugs and two rounds of what were labeled on the bag "bore shot". Two giant lead balls the diameter of the bore, one on top of the other, comprise the load. I have never seen a 20ga factory load like this. Anyone have experience with loads like these? The company doesn't have them listed on they're sight.

That was the way the gauges were measured long ago, 20 balls the size of the bore weight 1 pound. They should be close to .615 - .620 inches or 1/20 of a pound.
The same for 12 ga, 16 ga, 32 ga, 24 ga, but .410(close) is a caliber not a bore size.

Sounds like the buckshot load from hell.....I like it!
I have heard of these. They are popular for hog hunting.

Paraklese doesn't impress me as a very good outfit. I picture some guy in a basement with his MEC press trying to fill orders. I don't think I trust these guys enough to try any of their stuff. I'm perfectly happy with 3 buck from Remington in my 20 gauge for home defense.
I've heard other stories of long waits from those guys. Yours isn't the first.
If you want "bore shot", check out dixie tri ball in 12 gauge. That company impresses me as a whole lot more professional than paraklese. I have no interest in either, just sayin'.

Two giant lead balls the diameter of the bore,Be aware if the balls are really bore size, you cannot shoot them through any degree of choke.
Strictly a cylinder bore deal.

has anybody on here ever handloaded these?
Yeah Dixie slugs doesn't make a 20ga load. Probably a great option for those who have a 12ga though.
