I love these recoil reducing stocks and I got one for my Mossberg 500 12 gauge. I saw them on blackhawks site for $134.99. Well I found them on the shelf at "Dicks Sporting Goods" for $69.99 with the forend. They only had them for Mossberg and Remington. I paid $90 for mine through my FFL but I figured I would pass along what I found incase anyone was thinking of buying one. Im going to get one for my sons Mossberg 500 20 gauge.

That sounds like a really good deal. I wanted to shoot an 870 with one of these before buying to decide if I really like it, but at that price it's almost cheap enough to just take the plunge.

Just get one I tried what they did in an add I saw. An operator put the back of his shoulder against a phone pole and fired a 12ga slug with his shoulder between stock and pole. It felt like a 3" goose shell. Maybe a little less.:evil:

Are you sure it's the recoil reducing version? The local Dick's only had the NRS model, and at that exact price.

I bought one for my maverick, but only because I got it for $80 on ebay. I don't think I would pay much more than that for it.

They do make the same thing in a hunter version for you non ninja types that dont like the full recoil of a 12 gauge pump. they really do work great. My 11 & 13 y/o sons can shoot this 12 gauge now & not get the crap beat out of them.

I got one from Cheaper than Dirt for my 870. I think it was about $100.It reduces the recoil but I got a bruised cheeck from using it.

lol @ the thought of a knoxx stock when I grew up shooting 12 gauge without a recoil pad even. not trying to be macho, its just a fact. I was a bigger kid, but still...that first 3" buckshot I shot out of a 12 gauge sure got the ball rolling. if you cant shoot the gun the way it was intended to be, why shoot it? use a .22, or get into AR's

they like shooting the big guns. maybe I should take the compensator that reduce recoil by about 40% off my large caliber rifles just because they didn't come with it on there.

Im pretty sure that stock is intended to go on that gun. Why shoot it? really? because its fun to shoot big guns. Even my oll grandmah knows that. My kids will be 4th genaration gun collectors so they have plenty to pick through and plenty that fit them but the big guns always get the bigger smiles.

I looked on their website and didnt see them. I saw them in the store and it wasnt a sale it was just on the shelf marked $69.99. call the one in Rockwall TX. they might ship it to you.

I am pretty sure the $69.99 one is not recoil reducing, atleast what I have seen at the local Dicks. I paid around $100 for mine and think it does a good job.

Yea man, I'm am 100% positive. No question about it. I have one, and I held the one at dicks in my hands. I was going to go back and pick one up for my Mossberg 500 20 gauge just because they are there in stock and so cheap. I knew I should have snapped a pic with my cell

I've got a couple of them and was talking to my sister about getting one for her. She is wanting to put it on her old issue shotgun from when she was a Deputy. The cancer is hitting her hard now so we doing what we can to make life still enjoyable for her. (anybody want to make fun of her for needing this stock?)

I went from being able to use a 500 nitro express to a crossbow. To many years of abuse I guess.

I bought this stock from Midway or Blackhawk about 8 mo.ago. Not sure what I did with the dirrections so I went online. Dirrections say not compatible with Mossberg 590 DA. How was DA marked? My barrel is stamped Model 590. On the bottem of the receiver just in front of the loading port is stamped 590 12 GA. When I got the gun I installed a Tac Star 4 round sidesaddle but I don't remember if there is anything stamped on the receiver under the sidesaddle ... maybe Government??? Plastic safety, parakerized and bayonet lug.

I would really appreciate any help.

This weekend I did some shooting with my maverick 88 that has the knoxx recoil-reducing stock on it. My friend has an 870 with a regular pistol grip stock on it. Shooting the same loads back to back in each gun, the maverick kicked harder than the 870 even though the maverick had the recoil reducing stock on it. I know they are different guns, but still I'm not overly impressed with the recoil reducing aspect of the stock. I am glad I only paid $80 for it. I do find it comfortable to use though ergonomically.
