Heading out to the range in the morning to shoot my .36 cal remingtons I'm thinking 20 gr FFFg as a all around load?

Yep, 20 ought to do fine. I have tried 15-20 and use 17 grs. Goex FFF. I want to get the flatest shootin with least amount of recoil.

I'm looking for accuracy also may try your 17 gr load, want to do the Feb THR BP shoot.

18 is what I use in my BP .38 cartridge loads,because it works so well,and that's what the spout that came on my Italian Colt flask is.

I would start at 18gr, try 3 gr up and down from that. See what the paper tells you.

I just bought the '58, .36 caliber Pietta Police model in December. Weather has made it too tough to use the pistol as yet, but I was going to try 15 grains of Pyrodex as a start.

I just picked up another 1858 only this one in .44 cal, when I compare it to my .36 it is a tad larger.
Both to the range Wednesday..
