Charlie Rangle, God bless him for his military service, a tax cheat in charge of oversight for the IRS, insisted on "restricted" shotguns so they could not be used against Liberal Tax Cheat Politicians

The IRS does indeed have armed agents----sad but true.
Just think Al Capone and tax evasion.

Yes IRS has armed agents.
It's the Criminal Investigation Division.
I was one for 3 years a long time ago. Great job to get you through college.
I never touched a shotgun. If it got that hairy we called the FBI.
But I got to carry anything I could afford.

The Remington parkerized shotguns, with fourteen inch barrel, modified choke, Wilson Combat Ghost Ring rear sight and XS4 Contour Bead front sight, Knoxx Reduced Recoil Adjustable Stock, and Speedfeed ribbed black forend,
The thing that caught my eye was 14" barrel with Mod choke.
Size and choke does matter :)

They ought to turn a little of that "collection prowess" -inward- ... over $3 Billion (yes, Billion, with a B) in delinquent income taxes owed by FEDERAL EMPLOYEES!

Other than someone who works for a another shotgun manufacturer, has anyone else had a jamming problem with an 870?

Tax penalties are getting more and more intense.
But I'm well protected. If they shoot me I won't be able to sign those enormous checks to them.

Send that jam-o-matic to me. I'm sure I can fix the problem.

Who says they aren't going after federal employees? Many of the government higher ups and legislatures do have pretty good security.

One of my Professors was an IRS Agent, a .357 armed peace officer, and went into academia for a second pension after he put in his "20" as a Fed.
If I were a responsible bidder I'd call Contracting Officers Marc Fienberg or Kyong Watson and bid.

I have seen local CID IRS shutting down range here so they can practice, so yes. I do remember they had shotguns (and handguns).
More indicative that they'll be armed and ready to come for all the new taxes we'll incur under Democrat-led govt ...

So call me grumpy but I really dislike that they put the bid out for 14in guns when us "regular folks" get to spend months in paperwork and $200 extra bucks to get our guns with 14in barrels. Its like them saying, "We know that a 14in gun is more functional but you still cant have one"

IRS Criminal Investigation was created in 1919. It's hardly some plot by Obama. The 2,700 Special Agents are federal law enforcement officers and they investigate violations of the Internal Revenue Code such as tax fraud and money laundering.
