Bought my girlfriend one and she and I both LOVE it. One of the best feeling grips of any handgun I have ever felt stock or otherwise. Utterly reliable, roughly 500 rounds so far and no FTF to speak of.

Great trigger in my opinion with a second strike capability so if the round doesn't go bang just pull the trigger again and will probably go off. That also means that you can use snap caps and won't have to rack the slide every trigger pull.

She has the 9mm and with 13+1 with the compact mag and 17+1 with full size mag you can't go wrong. The .40 and .45 also have superior capacities compared with other major companies.

Recoil is not bad but it is pretty light so its not gonna feel like a .22 either.

Hers came with 3 dot sights and I'm so glad cause i HATE the heinie 2 dots. Fairly accurate with its 3.3 inch barrel but its no target pistol but definitely good enough for SD.

Along the lines of Concealed Carry, I carried it for several days and it is very concealable. Very flat and contoured so it doesn't dig into you.

All in all, very good quality gun at a fair price. IMHO you can't go wrong.

I don't have the 24/7 compact but have the Taurus Millenium Pro PT145. The features between the 2 are practically identical in size and mechanism. I am very satisfied with it. I just had one issue with tehextra magazine that could only hold 4 shots before a FTF.

These guys are correct about the 24/7 and the PT145.

Here's some info and opinion from other 24/7 compact users.

The last link goes to the Taurus FAQ board. It might have data that is useful to you.

Most of the above links deal with .40S&W and .45 ACP versions of the 24/7c.

There might be some 9x19 info in there.

Some history on this.

I own a Taurus PT111 Millennium Pro in 9x19 and a PT132 Millennium Pro in .32 ACP. These are direct kin to the 24/7.

My PT111 is the older of the two pistols and is giving excellent service. No balks, few jams except for the break-in period and nothing after that, fits the hand well, carries well, and has better than combat accuracy if I do my part.

The Taurus PT132 is brand new and going through the break in stage. However there have been no hiccups or problems.

Happy reading and hope these prove useful.
