Ok, I found the optimum mounting spot for shopcam-1. Nice view of the casting, sizing, and shipping operations (it's amazing to me how we get so much done in only 630 square feet.)

Robert (night caster) should be firing things up in about a half-hour. Up tonight will be 9mm SmallBall, Cowboy #6, Cowboy #2, and a continuation of .38 Match bullets on casters 1-3 and 5. #4's Minarik drive motor developed an oil leak two days ago (second time on that one) and I haven't pulled it out and re-gasketed it yet. It's operational but with four working casters, we don't need it at the moment.

Well, I look at it this way - we are a storefront company, same as having a big window on the street, and I thought folks might enjoy seeing how we do things.

After repeated attempts to view Missouri Bullet's shop cam, I have come to the unfortunate conclusion that Missouri Bullet has been sucked into a black hole or is experiecing some other cosmic phenomenon. This is evidenced by the fact that current no light is emitted from their shop as can be plainly seen on the shop cam. Now whether this is a permanent black hole or just some sort of rift in the space-time continuum can only be resolved with time.

Showing what order number was being packed would be really cool. You could actually watch YOUR bullets being packed, and if they forgot to add something, you could phone them immediately and correct it! Now THAT is interactive!

Your browser is using an incorrect file association. Firefox and IE work fine, according to my testing.

Was watching a moment ago- saw that you carefully laid those HUGE ingots into the melting pots, yet the machines continued to cast! How on earth is that furnace able to keep the temperature up for casting after being assaulted with such a large ingot? The size of the melt volume didn't appear to be a whole lot more volume than the ingot you laid in there.

Sure looks like you keep VERY busy- non-stop action for sure.

We put the ingot into the pre-melt side, which is separated from the pour side. Different temperature controls on each side. That way the pour side remains constant while the pre-melt side is heating to correct temp.

The pots hold 115 lbs. of lead and our ingots ("pigs", really) are 58 lbs.

Nice looking machines ... my local caster had only one Magma machine - he's happily retired now.

Kinda like looking into the hospital nursery of newly born lead babies .... :D

Ok, fixed. Montie the Cat had knocked the wireless access point off the window sill here in the office which is pointed at the shop's wireless repeater. So no signal to/from the shop.

So now there's a black screen, which accurately depicts the state of darkness present in the shop as I'm done for the day and there's no night shift tonight, as Robert works all day Saturdays in addition to weeknights (except for Wednesday for church activities.)

So I'm having a Samuel Adams Black Lager and not making bullets at the moment.

Man, this is fine stuff!
