I am looking for a Speedfeed IV stock (Home Defense pistol grip model) for my 870 relatively cheap. The other day I found one for an 1100 or 1187. Will the buttstock interchange with an 870? I KNOW that the forend will not interchange which doesn't matter. Thanks for the input.

The hole is bigger and shallower on an 1100, and on a wood stock you can just drill deeper and wrap the bolt with electrical tape if you like. I don't know how the synthetic is made, but if you got a longer bolt it should work.

I have a stock from an 1100 on my 870. You will need a longer stock bolt and a fender washer to install it.
