Help Please!

I have an HK 270 rifle (22LR) about 20 years old or more. Has been completely disassembled and sat in a box for most of that time. I would like to put it back together and give it back to my younger brother as a surprise gift (it was his first rifle).

Problem is there are no manuals that I can find, including online. I would be happy to send it off to be assembled and serviced, but I don't want to just walk into a local "gunsmith" with a box of parts and ask them to fix it.

Has any heard of this rifle? Any riflesmiths specialize in HK off-models? Any competent general riflesmiths who are easy to work with? I'd be willing to send it back to HK, but would like someone who has dealt with them to share experience.

Grasping at straws here, folks.

Unfortunately, you're in a no-win box. The H&K 270 has a design flaw relating to ejection, and H&K wasn't honest enough to admit it. They don't sell parts for it - they insist you send it back to them for service. You send it back, and they'll reply that it can't be fixed, and offer to buy it from you for a pittance (~$60, maybe?). If you refuse, it's still not fixed, and you're out postage both directions. It's a recall that they aren't willing to pay for, so they stick you with it.

Sorry,

Jaywalker

I have a 270. That model is prone to multiple problems. I would be interested in yours for parts if you are inclined. Let me know.
