Subject of a long, and rather rancorous, debate here a few months ago.

Basically, appeared to come down to if the offending officer has breasts, she's absolutely and incontrovertably incapable of being a competent police officer and is just an accidental discharge/negligent homicide machine on estrogen...

But, if the offending officer has testicles, that's just the case of a good officer caught up in the heat of the moment and, after all, because he's got testicles, shouldn't he be excused seeing that the perp wasn't hurt?

Actually, the gender didn't even enter into it with me. Being stupid seems to rather non-gender specfic, in my experience. The problem I saw was having a finger on the trigger. But that's me.

Whoa! Even though no one got shot, I would'nt feel that way if I got shot from an AD.
Or worse, if it was one of my friends or family.
Or if I was walking by the scene, minding my own business... and... BLAMMO!
