Kimber Pro Carry Issues

Gentlemen,
I've searched other Kimber threads and have been unable to find one with a problem similar to mine. I see that I am not unique with my failure to feed problems. The addtitional issue that I've encountered is ejected casings routinely hitting me in the head and face. It started happening every once in awhile at about the 700 round count and after having put about a thousand rounds through it, the problem has only gotten worse. With the assistence of my more technically competent friend, I have replaced the stock extractor with a Wilson Combat Extractor. No luck. The problem persists and to make matters worse I have about one to two failure to feeds in every outing. I should note that I am a right handed shooter who is unfortunately left eye dominant. Any suggestions? I am on the verge of trading in my Kimber and "going plastic." I just want my pistol to go bang when I squeeze the trigger.

As far as the "hitting you" problem. Have a [competent] gunsmith tune the extractor and ejector.

The "failure to feed" problem. Could you explain just what kind of failure to feed? Is it jamming on the ramp? Is the slide failing to go completely into battery? What?

The failure to feed is a stove pipe. As in the spent case is caught up in the ejection port and the new round does not feed properly.
