Most reliable pocket 9?

I'm looking for a new pocket 9mm...

1. Single stack, slim
2. Hammer fired (no striker fired pistols)
3. And I will pass up the Kahr models...
4. Must be super reliable
5. And it must be truly pocketable...

Keltec PF-9, P11 and Rohrbaugh R9 fit that. Anything wrong with a PM9?

The only pocket 9 that exists is the Rohrbaugh R9 in my opinion. Everything else is too big for most pants pockets.

I really like the Colt Pocket Nine when you can find them.

A lot of people pocket carry the PF-9's. They are legit pocket guns. I know from experience.

depends on what pants you're wearing. jeans? yeah, won't fit. slacks, which tend to have much larger pockets? fits as easily as a lcp.

The only true "pocket" nine is the Rohrbaugh. Unless you're a huge guy with huge pockets. Now if you mean the "nine kurz", then you've added many more choices, my favorite being the Seecamp LWS380.

By eliminating "Striker Fired" pistols you are eliminating some of the best and most reliable pistols around.

what's wrong with kahr's?

also, the pf9 is not pocket"able" for me

maybe try a snubbie

Carpenter jeans fit the PF9 just fine.

Now if you're wearing latest skinny girl jeans...perhaps not. BTW, those also impact sperm production.

PF9 and P11 are good for hammer fired little 9's. I'll take my striker fired PM9 over either but those are two decent options if you have big pockets.

Nasty, why are you worried about another man's sperm production?

Unless you wear pretty baggy pants with big pockets, the PF is a bit on the large side to be a true "pocket gun". Coat pocket, yes. But otherwise, I find it needs an IWB holster.

The R-9 am PM9 are about the only pocket 9's, and the PM9 is kinda boderline. As well, I've not heard the most positive reviews on the R9 for reliability. It's also a $1k gun.

Just get a Jframe. Seriously.

The pocket 9 sounds great in theory, in practice its got its issues.

Kahr Arms bankrolled by Moonie money (as in Unification Church). Some people sensitive to that fact.

I do not understand why the P-11 of the PF-9 are not considered pocketable by some of the posters...how do you dress everyday guys??

I'm only 5,7 and my P-11 fits in my jeans, slacks and even a suit...(the same for many other people as well)

Of course, I do not put anything in that pocket othen than my pistol....it may print just a bit here and there (like having a blackberry or another large smartphone in your pocket)..I challenge anybody, even a trained eye, that I have a pistol in my pocket.

Do you want basically a "key-ring" toy handgun to put in your pocket and not even feeling it??? Like a pack of cigarette or gums??

That is not a pistol I would trust my life to it....I wish they still made the P-40 to have a pocketable Kel-Tec in 40 S&W....

If you really find the PF-9 so hard to pocket carry (I really do not understand why...) you can put it in a light IWB holster (great for formal business suits)

Properly defending yourself always imposes some sacrifices and the right state of mind...choose your clothes accordingly.....better spending a bit of more time shopping to find the right pants than facing a drugged up big nasty bad guy with a 32 ACP.....

As knicks118 said, you may give a snubbie a try...the more irregular shape (less "boxy") compared to a semi auto subcompact pistol may make pocket carry more comfortable (and printing less evident)....today I was playing around in my pocket with a very nice Taurus 357 snubnose...I may buy it...

Thanks for the replies.

I think i will go with the snubbie.
(I had a Kahr PM9. It had "light strikes" and on some occasions FTF. The FTF was probably due to human error...but I decided to trade it in for a more forgiving gun.)
