I just bought an 870 2.75 inch with a 18.5 inch bbl blue/ wood I was wondering how old it is.where would I find serialization ? BTW its a wingmaster ser. v8950xxv . thanks in advance , Spence

800-243-9700- Remington's number.

The v Suffix indicates it's a 2 3/4" gun.

'V' serial number prefix is 1978 to 1984. The original barrel code will get it down to the month.
