The .44Mag may be a bit light. You may have to top off the powder with a bit of filler. The ram might not seat the bullet firmly on the powder with less than 40 grains.

I'm surprised you can get 45 grains of Goex in a .45 Colt hull. Are you sure your scales are zeroed?

Okay? - yes.
Walkers are a bit of an anomaly. Unlike most of the .44's they seem to like heavier loads. The best load in both of mine is 50 gr; others report good results up to 55 gr. They will safely handle full chambers - that's 60 gr - and the boom, flash and smoke are nothing short of spectacular. If there's anyone else on the range you just have to touch off one cylinder of full chamber loads to show off a bit. However, 60 grains will not be an accurate load, so don't be shooting targets that tell the truth when you do it.

What I did was fill the case with FFFg then using a funnel, I took my powder measure volume one and poured the BP into the measure set at 60 grs and slowly brought it up until the powder was even with the top of the measure showed 45 grs, I'll double check it , there was a gap at the top when I poured the powder in the 44 nag case into the 45LC case. maybe a 1/8" from the top.

EDit: Okay a recheck I get 44.5 I can just see the 45gr line.

I used to have one and I always loaded it with 50 grains of fffg. I could put a thin wonder wad on top and still get the bullet seated.

Mine seem to shoot best at about 45-50grs of 3Fg with lubed wad under the ball.

60grs fills the chamber to the top.

TomADC got 45 gr of powder in an empty 45 Colt case, using it as a powder measure. The case won't hold that much if you intend to load a bullet in the case.

Although a Walker cylinder will accept 60 gr of powder, a steady diet of that load will do harm eventually. It will crush the wedge, it can loosen the cylinder arbor.

40 or 45 gr of powdr is still pretty spectacular, and 50 might be OK, but considering the price of powder, a lighter load will suffice.

I'm going to start with 45 grs, a wonder wad and see how that shoots. Weather guy is saying thunderstorm tomorrow hope not.
