Help! SKS stock is too short

I bought a mint Chinese SKS recently, and I love it. But the wood buttstock is too small for me to shoulder.

I don't want to change out stocks for those Fiberlite ones - the wood is so nice, I want to keep it in its original state.

I know Tapco has like 1" extenders pads, but that's not enough I don't think. I need about 2-3"

I saw in Shotgun News a few months ago a vender was selling 2-3" extenders for the SKS for $25, but I forgot the name of the vendor and I can't find it anymore in Shotgun News. The extender I saw advertised was adjustable.

Could someone tell me where I can find this, or of another extender I can buy.

Thanks!

Could you stack a couple of the one inch pads or put a one inch extender and a slip on butt pad?

Ah, here you go. buymilitaria.com (http://www.buymilitaria.com/sks_htm_files/sks_rifle_accessories.htm)

You could screw on the 1 inch and then maybe get one of those recoil pads that slip over the end of the stock. That might get you 2-3 inches.

I have an ugly butt pad on my SKS because I clunked myslef in the eye when I had a scope on it.

Check out www.sksman.com for stocks and gadgets.

When I swapped stocks on one of my Yugos, I stacked both rubber buttpads on the other. Works great. IIRC, it required slightly longer scews though.

You can see them in the pic here:
