I am curious - has anyone (besides me) found that the 'ribber' grips on the new Taurus revolvers is a tad small for average-to-large hands?

It seems no aftermarker grips will fit, but the Taurus web site now shows the standard RUBBER grips for the 'tracker' revolver series - are they in any way larger than the 'ribber' ones?

I would love to know before I blow the cash on a set.

thanks...

Dontshootme,
The rubber grip is smaller than the Ribber grip. The rubber grip is the grip that is on the 617 as a "concealment" grip whereas the ribber grip is on the 450, 455, 415, 627, etc. I am not aware of a larger grip than the Ribber grip for any of these guns.

Also, Hogue seems to have a full line of grips that fit Taurus revolvers. Will these fit your gun?

None of the grips listed on the Hogue website appear to be for the 617, does anyone know if the 617 iuses the same size grip as any of their other models?

hhhm, I guess the real question is if the new "compact" frame accepts the same grips as either the "small" or "medium" frame. I don't know, but someone here must. That 617 seems like an intersting revolver.

Call Hogue or Pearce grips and talk to them. I betcha they got something for you.
