What are the major differences between the springfield G.I. and Springfield Mil-spec? If I get one of these two I'll get the stainless version, replace the sights, and grips. What one would you reccomend I get and why?

They are the same except for the Mil-Spec has 3 dot sights, high hand grip, beveled mag well, polished feed ramp, throated barrel, lowered and flared ejection port, and the slide serrations are angled.
If you are going to change the sights anyway, I would get the GI and do the rest of that stuff yourself as long as you are can do some minor gunsmithing. The only thing you couldn't change would be the slide serrations, but as long as they dont bother you, I would just get whats cheapest; unless there is only like a $40 price difference then I would just get the Mil-Spec so you dont have to do all of that yourself.

The sights are the biggest difference. Unless you have very good eyes or want the "GI experience" the GI models sights are not very good. The sights on the Mil-Spec are good and I wouldn't change them.
