SKS 10 Round Magazine

Hello again.
This may seem like a strange question, but where can one find a stock 10 round SKS magazine? I have looked around a little, and I can't seem to find one. I would think that they would be fairly easy (and cheap) to find.
Barring a stock one, are the aftermarket 5 and 10 rounders worth a tinkers darn? If so, what brands?
Thanks again.

Why? It's built into the gun.
Still, TAPCO or AIM surplus, then Sarco should have them.

My rifle has one of those 20 round "star" magazines. It gets in the way, as far as I am concerned. I have found that the 10 round magazine is much handier than any of the extended ones.
Therefore I am in the market for a 10 rounder.
I had already looked at Tapco, all they have is a 5 round aftermarket jobbie. Thanks for the other suggestions though.

I can't believe they want the same amount for the original fixed 10 round mag as the detachable 50 round mag:fire: So many people remove those and chuck them on the junk pile.

So many people remove those and chuck them on the junk pile.
Which is probably why they cost so much. Particularly when folks find a detachable isn't as reliable as the fixed.

I have a 5 rnd factory style fixed mag I got from Sportsman's Guide. I have not test fired the rifle with the mag installed. It will feed dummy rounds with no problems.
The bad:
I did have to make some adjustments to the mag before i could install it. The slot in the rear of the mag body was too narrow for the bolt stop to fit into. This jammed the bolt stop in the raised position and would not allow thw bolt to close. I used a pair of pliers to open up the slot to the proper width. I then had to remove some of the metal where I bent the slot wider as it made the mag body longer.
The good:
The mag fits almost flush with the stock. The mag floorplate is hinged and opens just like the original mag to allow quick unloading without having to cycle all the rounds through the action.

The mag I recieved is different from the one pictured. The floor plate is flat.
This is what it looks like on my beautiful Albanian SKS ;)
